If your iPhone originally came from a country where FaceTime is permanently disabled by law or hardware configuration (like the UAE), changing your Apple ID country back home will not restore the app. If your phone is from your home country, resetting your network or toggling the service usually fixes it.
Try this
Steps to Restore and Activate FaceTime
- Check Screen Time: Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps & Features, and make sure FaceTime is turned on.
- Toggle the Service: Go to Settings > FaceTime, turn the switch off, restart your phone, and turn it back on.
- Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset, and select Reset Network Settings. (Note: This resets saved Wi-Fi passwords).
- Re-sync Region/Language: Double-check that both your iPhone's system region (Settings > General > Language & Region) and your region match your home country completely.
- Reinstall the App: If FaceTime was deleted, search for it in the local App Store and download it again.
