ipod shuffle gen 2 doesn't work!

i bought an ipod shuffle gen 2 yesterday, it was in the box with all the accessories. i charged it for a few hours, the first hours it had an amber light, and then it turned green. today, i connected it to my laptop and added some songs in the ipod through itunes (version 12.13.10.3). i then disconnected it and turned it on. once i turned it on, the light was green, but when i pressed the play button the song played for less than a second then the light turned red and started blinking. i tried restarting it through itunes, but an error message appeared and it said "your ipod could not be restored. an unknown error occurred (1439)." any solutions? :(
