How to download Overcast on iPod Touch Pro

Thanks for the response. I did reply to your post but the reply doesn't seem to have shown up. So I'll repeat it here. In the thread "Podcast App can't connect right now", users complained of being unable to access podcasts via Apple. Many posters recommended switching to the "Overcast" app as a solution--which is why I wondered if it were possible to download the App onto my iTunes player. I don't think it is.

But since posting the question I have discovered my own work-around to the problem. I find that if I search for a specific episode of a podcast I can connect/download the entire show. I hope other iPod users can do the same.
