Moved Library, Users, Apps to ext drive by mistake. How to put back?

Thought I was copying using Carbon Copy Cloner but I moved Users, Applications, and Library to external drive by mistake. Now my 2024 MacBook Air is missing all kinds of stuff that now lives on the external drive, won't open iCloud, won't open Word Docs, etc. Tried just moving it back by using CCC but it didn't work. Help, please!
