If I understand, when you purchase the zeiss optical inserts using the Apple Store app, it tells you that you need a new light seal. If this is true, it seems like you don't actually need to purchase the new light seal, it is simply recommended. You can continue without purchasing a new light seal by tapping the button in the Apple Store app.
