MacBook Air cannot print in draft mode to Epson XP-4105

I am having trouble to print in DRAFT MODE to my Epson Printer XP4105 from my new Apple MacBook Air M5 on Tahoe 26.9.

There are 2 other printers on this wifi and are late model Asis Vivobook and my old MacBook Pro and these have no difficulty printing in the usual form.

I have had no intelligent feedback to questions from Epson and little from Apple.

Hi,

You cannot print in draft or economy mode on your Epson XP-4105 using macOS because Apple's default AirPrint driver strips out advanced, vendor-specific printer settings. To restore draft mode, you need to delete the AirPrint-configured printer and add it again using the official Epson driver.

Download latest printer drivers and Utilities Combo package from official Epson site and install it which could solve your issue.

Thank you for the first intelligent reply!! The ones from the manufactures of both products have been a waste of time.

Will the other computers on our wifi connected system, be affected by this action?

I would hate to go through all of this again.

Thank you again. The you can assure me it will be OK, I will complete your instruction, or get our tech to do so.

Thank you again for your help.

Regards

John
