Long term, on average.....the Battery Health will decline at about 1% for every 50 Charge Cycles. That....is an average over time, not just a few months. The decline is not linear, since the battery is a chemical device. Some months it might not decline at all and then drop 2% the next month.

So, your battery has completed 209 Charge Cycles. 209 divided by 50 = 4.2%. So, it would be "normal" to expect that the Battery Health would be at about 96% at this time. Your battery is doing better than "normal" so far.

Fact is......your battery was likely really at 102-103% when it was new, but Apple would still display this as 100%. Things are starting to catch up now, since the averages have a way of averaging out over time.

At about 500 Cycles, I would expect your battery to be at about 90% Health and it will be near 80% at 1,000 Cycles. When the Battery Health drops below 80%, it will be time to replace the battery.

First off, your battery is doing much better than average, and I will explain why you may think conversely. Your iPhone is expected to drop 1% per 50 charge cycles, which is a much more accurate measure of deterioration than time owned. After 216 charge cycles, you should be at 95% under average decline. You are at 98%, which means your battery is healthier than average!

You may think it is degrading unhealthily because of the decrease in such a short amount of time, however battery health decline isn't linear, it is rather sporadic. There are times you might not lose a single percent for a while, and other times you may lose multiple percent in a short period of time. However, you have to remember to look at the larger picture. Even though your iPhone dropped 2% in a few days, which can seem abnormal, it still puts your iPhone in the healthy decline.
