The "LE-Beats Studio Buds+" device that appears in Windows refers to Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) functionality. This connection is used for control and management features and is not the actual audio playback profile. Normally, Windows should also detect a separate "Beats Studio Buds+" audio device that supports music and calls.
Because the left earbud is missing, the charging case may not be able to place the earbuds into a complete pairing/reset state. While many phones can successfully connect to a single earbud, some Windows Bluetooth adapters and drivers may have difficulty recognizing the earbuds as a standard audio device when only one earbud is present.
Regardless, see if the following can help:
- Remove all existing Beats Studio Buds+ entries from Windows Bluetooth settings, including any devices that begin with "LE-".
- Place the right earbud in the charging case and ensure the case has sufficient battery power.
- Press and hold the system button on the case until the LED begins flashing to place the earbuds into pairing mode.
- In Windows, select Add Bluetooth Device and attempt to pair the earbuds again.
- If successful pairing, check Settings > System > Sound and verify whether "Beats Studio Buds+" appears as an available output device.
- If only the LE device appears, update the laptop's Bluetooth drivers from the computer manufacturer's website and test again.
- If available, test with a different Windows computer to determine whether the issue is specific to the laptop's Bluetooth hardware or drivers.
If the earbuds continue to appear only as an LE device, the limitation may be related to using a single remaining earbud. In that situation, replacing the missing left earbud through Apple/Beats support may be required to restore full compatibility with Windows.
