Maps notifications 1 hour off in Arizona timezone

Notification/Timezone issue.

I live in Central Arizona. Phoenix Timezone. During the summer when everyone is on Daylight Savings Time, Arizona remains on Mountain Standard Time.

Every morning I get a notification of how long it will take to get to a location that I go to daily. Trouble is that the notification comes 1 hour after I go. So I go at 0630 every morning BUT the notification comes at 0730. I can only surmise that someplace between Maps and Notification the timezone is locked at Mountain Daylight.

Tap Settings

Tap General.

Tap Date & Time.

Toggle the Set Automatically switch to the OFF (gray) position

Tap the Time Zone field.

Search for "Phoenix" and select the result to lock in the Mountain Standard Time (MST) zone

You are Done

Try turning “off” Automatic Time Zone settings for a week or so; obviously setting your phone to MST (UTC -7).

(Time zone offsets are provided by your carrier thru your wireless network connection.)

Then see if updated zone settings reload when you Go back to “auto” after the week is over.
