My phone number has a prefix that Apple doesn't recognise and for that I can't verify my number and use iMessages or FaceTime, what can I do?

I started taking measurable steps after I got the new number, and yes I’ve already signed in with the new number, however, the verification of this new number is an issue as it’s been stuck being verified for about 5 months now. I’ve refreshed everything yet it’s still loading

Have you tried everything detailed here --> If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime on your iPhone - Apple Support

I live in Kenya and got a new phone, iPhone 17 in December 2025 and transferred my sim card from an iPhone 14 Pro in to the iPhone 17. It didnt recognise that one, which had a prefix of 07 and not sure why. I thought it needed a new number so I bought one with a 011 prefix. Everywhere I input this prefix apple claims its invalid and i should put down another number. It’s under safaricom as well
