Your device has multiple internal safeguards to prevent damage to critical components from heat. If the iPhone detects rising temperatures, it will start to employ methods to reduce the sources of the heat. This includes dimming the screen, throttling the processors etc. The iPhone will also display a message on the screen if it needs to shut down etc. You may just be sensitive to heat etc. If you still believe your iPhone is overheating you’ll need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.
