You cannot officially check the balance of an unredeemed Apple Gift Card without redeeming the code. Apple’s official policy states that the balance is only visible after the 16-digit code is applied to an Apple ID.
However, you can verify the amount before permanently redeeming using these methods:
- App Store Redemption Preview: Enter the code in the App Store (tap your profile icon > Redeem Gift Card or Code). The system will display the card's value on the confirmation screen before you tap "Redeem." If you do not confirm, the code is not applied to your account.
- Apple Support: Contact Apple Support directly via chat or phone. They can verify the balance of a specific code without redeeming it, though they will not share transaction history.
- Online Balance Check (Region Dependent): Some regions allow checking the balance on Apple’s official website by entering the code, but this often triggers redemption or requires an Apple ID login.
Important Warnings:
