Macbook Pro 14" M4 plugged in to charge and a couple of minutes later I heard a cracking noise. Computer now does not turn on or charge. Any help? I have an appointment for service Friday.

logic board is fried. Will need a replacement along with the Touch ID. Parts have been ordered. Everything is covered under warranty 🙌🙌🙌

That “cracking” noise probably doesn’t bode well.
Certainly unusual behavior on a “still new” MBP.
Keep it unplugged until it’s been assessed at your Friday appointment.

How did you reach that conclusion? The computer needs to be inspected prior to assuming a new computer needs to be bought.

Yes they did. They are both ok. Probably just got a bad batch 🤷🏻♂️
