iPad Air 11-inch M3 replacement: Battery drain from sensor

I purchased an iPad Air 11-inch M3 in April 2025. Later that year, the device developed an issue, and iCare replaced it with another iPad Air 11-inch M3 in October 2025.

The replacement iPad seemed to start consuming more power than usual around December 2025, and the problem became much more noticeable by April 2026. By June 2026, the battery was draining very quickly, so I brought it to the iCare store for diagnostics.

According to iCare, the battery itself is still in good condition. However, they found an issue with a sensor that keeps running continuously and consumes excessive power, causing the battery to drain quickly.

The frustrating part is that iCare told me that because I did not extend the warranty, my only option is to buy a new iPad. To me, this seems unreasonable because this appears to be a hardware-related issue with the replacement device, which I received only a few months earlier.

Has anyone else experienced a similar battery drain or sensor issue with the iPad Air 11-inch M3?
