There are two separate issues here — the temperature/humidity sensor not displaying, and the Philips Hue Bridge connectivity. Here's how to address both:
For the Temperature & Humidity Sensor not showing:
1. Make sure your HomePod mini is set as a Home Hub:
- Open the Home app on your iPhone > tap the House icon > Home Settings > scroll down to confirm your HomePod mini shows as a hub
2. Temperature and humidity display requires the Home app and can take some time after a reset before the data populates. Wait 15–30 minutes after setup before expecting readings to appear.
3. Check that your iPhone running the Home app is on iOS 16 or later, as the temperature/humidity sensor feature requires this.
4. Try removing the HomePod from your Home entirely and re-adding it fresh rather than just resetting it:
- In the Home app, long-press the HomePod > Settings > Remove Accessory > confirm removal
- Then set it up again from scratch
For the Philips Hue Bridge not connecting:
1. HomePod mini connects to Philips Hue through Matter or HomeKit. Ensure your Hue Bridge firmware is up to date (check in the Hue app > Settings > Software Update).
2. The Hue Bridge needs to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network or local network as your HomePod mini.
3. To add the Hue Bridge to Home:
- Open the Home app > tap the "+" icon > Add Accessory
- Scan the HomeKit code on the bottom of the Hue Bridge (or enter it manually)
4. If the Hue app is controlling lights directly, that uses the Hue cloud, not HomeKit. They are separate integrations — you need to add the Hue Bridge to Apple Home separately for HomePod control to work.
5. Try restarting the Hue Bridge (unplug and re-plug) and then try adding it to Home again.
