Hearing Aid Bluetooth Playback Issues

I have Oticon Real hearing aids. I also have an Iphone Air on the latest IOS update. Ever since updating, my hearing aid bluetooth has not been working as intended. Any time I try to start playing audio, there is a 5-10 second window that the bluetooth does not work. If I keep audio rolling without pausing, then it works perfectly. If I pause my music for more than a few seconds, the annoying 5-10 second wait happens again. It is completely ruining my experience. If I receive a phone call, I have to wait 5-10 seconds before I can hear the other person. If I get called while connected to bluetooth in my vehicle, the bluetooth gets stuck in a never ending loop of connecting and disconnecting resulting in the impossibility of taking phone calls will driving. It is constant and it is ridiculous. I have never had this issue for the almost 10 years I’ve had hearing aids and an Iphone. I have sent my hearing aids for repair, and nothing is wrong with them. My old Oticon Opn hearing aids work perfectly fine with the new IOS update and my new Oticon Real hearing aids work perfectly fine with my Iphone 13 that is on IOS 18. I have contacted Oticon support, and they said that it likely has to do with Apple’s implementation of Low Energy Bluetooth. I had this pair of hearing aids on their current firmware version and this phone and it worked perfectly previously. The issues started happening around 2 months ago when I updated to the latest IOS update. I am at my wits end, and I need help.
