Finder Desktop "Clean up by..." command doesn't make complete lists. The files are listed with the Macintosh HD partway down the screen with other gaps in the lists of files. How can I get this to work the way it did before Sonoma?

Do you have widgets set to show on the desktop (even if you have no widgets showing)?
Also, I think clean up by just moves them to the nearest grid. I don't store anything on my Desktop and I haven't used that command in a long time, so I'm not certain.
Thanks Barney-15E! That did it. I turned on "Show Widgets and saw that I had one installed, but hidden. This has been bugging me for a year!
