There are several common reasons why Apple Watch may stop recording sleep. Here are things to check:

1. Charge level: Apple Watch needs at least 30% battery before bedtime to track sleep through the night. If the battery drains during sleep, tracking stops. Try charging your watch for 30 minutes before bed.

2. Sleep Focus / Sleep Schedule: Make sure Sleep Focus is enabled and a sleep schedule is set up. Go to the Health app on your iPhone > Browse > Sleep > Set Up Sleep, and ensure your schedule is active.

3. Wrist detection: Sleep tracking requires wrist detection to be on. Go to Settings on your Apple Watch > Passcode > enable Wrist Detection.

4. Wear fit: The watch needs to be snug on your wrist (but not too tight). A loose fit can cause the sensors to not detect you're wearing it.

5. watchOS update: Make sure watchOS 26 is fully up to date. Go to Watch app on iPhone > General > Software Update.

6. Restart the watch: A simple restart can resolve temporary sensor or software glitches. Press and hold the side button, then slide to power off.

Hope one of these fixes it for you!
