Hi Fabiolarry, this is a common issue with Logic Pro's Sound Library download system. When packs seem to download but don't appear in the preset browser, it usually comes down to one of a few things. Here's what to check:
1. Verify the download actually completed:
- In Logic Pro, go to Logic Pro menu > Sound Library > Open Sound Library Manager
- Look for "Studio Instrument Essentials" in the list and check if it shows a checkmark or a download button
- If it shows a partial download or download button, click to re-download it from there
2. Check the correct location in the Preset browser:
- Studio Instrument Essentials presets appear under specific instruments (like Vintage B3, Vintage Clav, etc.), NOT just under Alchemy
- Make sure you're looking in the right instrument preset browser — try browsing through ES2, Retro Synth, or the EXS24/Sampler instruments
3. Reset the Sound Library index:
- Quit Logic Pro
- Open Terminal and run: defaults delete com.apple.logic10
- Relaunch Logic and go to Sound Library Manager to re-verify
4. Check the storage location:
- Go to Logic Pro > Preferences > Advanced > Audio and verify the Sound Library Location
- Make sure there's enough disk space (Studio Instrument Essentials is ~1-2 GB)
5. Manual re-download:
- In Sound Library Manager, if the pack shows as installed, click "Uninstall" and then reinstall it fresh
Let me know which step helps or if the pack still doesn't appear after these steps!
