The option to say just “Siri” is available on supported iPhone models in some languages and regions. To check whether “Hey Siri” or “Siri” is available for your device and language, see the iOS and iPadOS Feature Availability website.

Turn on Siri · Go to the Settings app on your iPhone. · Tap Siri (or Apple Intelligence & Siri), then tap Talk to Siri. · Choose one of the following: “Siri” or ...Read more

Turn on and activate Siri on iPhone

Hi! Great question — you can activate Siri completely hands-free without pressing any button using the "Hey Siri" feature (now called just "Siri" on iOS 26). Here's how to set it up:

1. Enable Hey Siri (voice activation):

- Go to Settings → Siri

- Toggle on "Listen for" and select "Hey Siri" or "Siri" (the phrase may vary in iOS 26)

- If prompted, complete the voice recognition setup by saying a few phrases

2. Say the activation phrase:

- Once enabled, simply say "Hey Siri" (or just "Siri" on iOS 26) from anywhere — even when your screen is off

- Your iPhone will activate Siri and listen for your request

3. Make sure these settings are also enabled:

- Settings → Siri → Allow Siri When Locked: toggle ON (so it works even on the lock screen)

- Settings → Siri → Allow Siri When Low Power Mode: toggle ON if you want it to work when battery is low

4. For Apple Watch (if you have one):

- Just raise your wrist and say "Hey Siri" — no button press needed

5. Tip — if Hey Siri isn't responding:

- Make sure your iPhone is not face-down (the microphone can be muffled)

- Re-train Siri by going to Settings → Siri → Siri Voice → and redoing the voice setup

Hope this helps you go fully hands-free!
