Here are the ways to reset your password on a MacBook Neo running macOS 26:

Option 1 — Use your Apple ID to reset (easiest method):

1. On the login screen, enter an incorrect password three times

2. A message will appear offering to reset using your Apple ID

3. Click the option and follow the prompts to reset your password

Option 2 — Use another admin account on the same Mac:

1. If there's another admin user on the Mac, log in with that account

2. Go to System Settings > Users & Groups

3. Click on your user account and select "Reset Password"

Option 3 — Recovery Mode (if the above don't work):

1. Shut down your MacBook Neo

2. Hold the Power button until you see "Loading startup options"

3. Click Options > Continue

4. Select your username and click Next

5. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted

Alternatively from Recovery Mode:

1. After entering Recovery Mode (step 2-3 above), go to the menu bar > Utilities > Terminal

2. Type: resetpassword and press Enter

3. The Reset Password utility will open — follow the steps to create a new password

Option 4 — If you use Touch ID:

- On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" if it appears and follow the prompts
