iMac volume is very low after Proton Meet call

My iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) has Monterey version 12.7.6 Last night I was speaking to someone on Proton Meet (they sent the link). Since then my iMac volume is very low. I created a guest user account and checked the volume there and it is fine so it's not the sound card. I checked the sound in the settings app and even when it's on high it still sounds low. What can I do to reset the sound card settings for my login?

Hi All

I've left this here for others with the same problem. I fixed it by getting someone to call me on FaceTime as I remembered that Proton meet says it uses FaceTime microphone. The FaceTime call was fine and when I came back to use the Safari radio streaming the volume was back to normal. Hope this helps others with similar issues.

Similar problem on my iPad. Under Sounds I upped the Limit Maximum Volume option. Then I could hear others.
