How to update apps without using the App Store

How do I update apps without being on the App Store?

It is not possible to remove the App Store from an iPhone – except in the European Union, and then only if you have installed an alternative app store.


However, if your phone is under parental controls, your parents would have the ability to set restrictions on App Store purchases. That could include disabling your access to the App Store, which would cause the App Store icon to disappear from your Home Screens until such time as your parents allowed access once more. The app would still be on your phone – but there would be no way for you to get to it and use it.


If your parents have placed this sort of restriction on your phone, you'll have to take it up with them.

Sorry, but we can't help you bypass your parents. You'll need to take this up with them. Apps are updated in the App Store. It's that simple. If you don't have the App Store, you can't update your apps.
