Keyboard: Water spill, lowercase to Japanese
I spilt water on my desk, and my keyboard is not working properly. The lowercase letters convert to Japanese in some applications such as Gmail. Upper-case letters work fine

Well keyboards are not waterproof and also are not repairable. So, chances are you simply need to purchase a new keyboard. You can buy a genuine keyboard directly from Apple or you can find high quality used keyboards at Macsales.com or you can use any of scores of third party keyboards, yes even PC keyboards work just fine.

Bummer.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store or take it to your local authorized service provider for a repair estimate or just buy a new keyboard.
Thanks for your reply! I Googled some reset alternatives and it seems to have fixed the problem for now. I also made a Genius appt. If I need to purchase a new keyboard I’ll look for a cheaper alternative. Thanks for the shopping tops.
Your welcome and good luck.
Otherwise had written a possibly solution yesterday!
But it apparently disappeared overnight?
Good luck with your new keyboard.
