Change default hyperlink color in the new version of Pages

How can I change the color of all links in a document made on Apple Pages? I'd like my new default to be another color besides black. In the previous pages, before the new version, you would just go into the format tab, the styles dropdown, and then select the > icon next to body. There, it would give you the option to redefine the color of hyperlinks. In the new version, I can't seem to find that option.

When I try to create a new Character Style, it changes the style of the entire line of text not just the hyperlinked text.

Having to manually change the style for all hyperlinks is cumbersome and I'd like a way to do it automatically for the entire document.

In the current document, select just one hyperlink, then press cmd+T to open the Text panel. It is a good idea to change your appearance to light for better legibility of the toolbar on that Text Panel. That toolbar will have a BIU menu and on it will be an Underline Color… menu item.

I set my Underline Color… to a typical hyperlink blue from the color picker.

Once you do that, only the selected hyperlink will change to blue. In the Character Style menu, you should see the style named Link and it will have an Update associated with it. Click Update to set the blue hyperlink as the new Link character style. That will change all hyperlinks in your document to blue.

That handles the hyperlink color change in this document, but not in future Pages documents. To do that, close the current document and create a new document from a blank (not blank layout) template. Enter a sentence with one word hyperlinked in black. Perform the previous procedure to change that hyperlink color, and update its Link Character Style. Then, from the File menu, Save as Template… Add to Template Chooser. Give it a recognizable name (e.g. Blue_links). For future Pages documents where you know you will need blue hyperlinks, you select this custom template from My Templates of the Template Chooser.

There is no global setting in Pages that will transcend all future document hyperlink colors other than this custom template.
