Cannot delete apps from iPad Home Screen

I can’t delete apps from my Ipad. I have tried all the options that I have been given. There is no option to delete from the Home Screen. On the screen time the apps say they are allowed to be deleted. I don’t know what else to do.

iPad, iPadOS 26

This is usually caused by Screen Time restrictions. Here are steps to fix it:

1. Check Screen Time Content Restrictions: Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps. Make sure it is set to Allow and not Dont Allow.

2. Try deleting from Settings: Go to Settings > General > iPad Storage, find the app, tap it, then tap Delete App. This bypasses the Home Screen method.

3. Try Jiggle mode: Long press on an empty Home Screen area to enter jiggle mode, then tap the minus icon on the app. If no minus icon appears, Screen Time is blocking deletion.

4. Check Screen Time passcode: If someone set Screen Time with a passcode, go to Settings > Screen Time > Change Screen Time Passcode to update the restriction.

5. If managed by Family Sharing: The organiser must allow app deletion from their device in Screen Time settings.

6. Restart the iPad: This can fix the missing delete option if it is a UI glitch in iPadOS 26.

Have you followed this guidance?Remove or delete apps from iPhone - Apple Support

If you have Screen Time enabled, go to Settings/Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions/iTunes & App Store Purchases and change Deleting Apps to Allow.

If your phone has parental controls, or has a work or school email account you may not be able to delete apps.

No parental controls, no school, work administrator and not having either of those I don’t have Mobile Device Management. I have tried everything except restoring my iPad. I really don’t want to lose all my apps and information on it. There has to be a way. It seemed to happen after the last update. Is there any way to get in touch with Apple to resolve the problem.
