1st Gen Apple Pen Not Working (All Troubleshooting Methods Exhausted)

Issue: 1st Gen Apple Pencil Connected, Charged, Not Working

iPad Model: iPad Pro

iPad Software: iPadOS 17.7.11

Note: I own two 1st Gen Apple Pens. I have completed the below troubleshooting actions with both pens. I used both pens and they were working with my iPad a week ago. Now neither one of them work. They were not dropped or damaged in any way from a week ago until now. I am using the "Test Scribble" action in "Apple Pencil" in "Settings" to test that the pens are working, so that any issues with applications like Goodnotes or Procreate can be ruled out. One of the pens are about two years old and the other three years old, so it is unlikely that the batteries are worn out in both simultaneously.

Troubleshooting Completed: Pens fully charged, have replaced tips on both pens just now, have repaired pens multiple times, have restarted iPad, paired both pens. Have factory reset iPad and paired pens. Have "forgotten devices" for both pens in Bluetooth settings and then paired.

Conclusion: I believe that this must be a software issue, but there is a very small chance that the batteries could also have worn out in both of the pens at once.
