iPhone 16 Pro Max: Cochlear Nexus 8 connectivity issues

I have an iPhone 16 pro max iOS 26.5

i have a cochlear nexus 8 implant on my left side and a Resound hearing aid on my right.

i can pair both to my iPhone but throughout the day i have connectivity issues. Nexus drops out/ reconnects several times during the day. Very annoying. Streaming is hit or miss with my phone for audio.

anyone having similar problems?

I’ve removed the cochlear app, selected “forget the device”, off the phone. Rebooted the phone, reinstated the app, re-paired implant. Still have issues.

Good morning sfdent49,

To stabilize all this, go to Settings > General > Transfer or reset iPhone > Reset and choose Reset network settings (this will erase your Wi-Fi passwords, but thoroughly clean the Bluetooth). Restart your iPhone, then re-pair your two devices in Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Aids. Also remember to turn off the Bluetooth of other screens around you (such as an iPad) to prevent them from "stealing" the connection. Have a nice day :)
