How to unlock a locked Apple Account for separate accounts?

I created a new apple account in May, but it was locked for 30 days. When I try to log in now it says that the account has been locked for security reasons. When I press the Unlock Account button and type in the Apple ID, it gives me a message that says this apple account is not valid or not supported. It I try to create a new account with the same email, apple will not allow me to do it. The reason that this problem originated in the first place is that my wife and I have shared the same Apple ID for the last 20 years and I am trying to split this into two separate accounts so things don't get messed up. What can I do to get this account unlocked so I can split our devices and data

Hello Rob Steck, welcome to the Apple Support Community!

It's a great initiative to separate your accounts, but this error message indicates that the new account has been disabled by Apple's security system, often because it was detected as a duplicate or created too quickly during data transfer. Since the site indicates that the identifier is not valid or not supported, you will not be able to unlock it yourself via automated tools. The easiest solution is to contact Apple Support by phone or through their Support app. An advisor will be able to check the exact status of this account in their system and either reactivate it or release your email address so that you can start over properly. You can reach them here: Contact – Assistance Apple officielle (FR). Have a nice day :)
