Apple Music track unavailable in your country or region.

I had a track in one of playlists called "Tears" by Mzansi House Freaks. The track is also all over TikTok. It played normally for about a month in my playlist, but recently it stopped playing at all. The title showed up as ghosted on the playlist and when I tried to play it I got a notice that “this track is no longer available in your country or region.” Why does that happen? (I use a MacAir laptop and iPhone to listen to apple music.

Artists and rights holders can remove their music from the Apple Music platform at any point. Usually done when there is a change to a better quality file or changes in albums etc... usually temporary, but can be a permanent thing in some cases.

If the artist or rights holder removed it from your country's catalog, then you can't access it. You'll need to wait until it's re-added if it ever is.
