From your screenshot, it looks like the Siri support files haven't finished downloading, so the "Ask ChatGPT about this" feature can't be used yet.

Since you've had the iPhone 16 Pro for a week, that isn't normal. Here are the things I'd check, in order:

  1. Check your iOS version
    • Go to Settings → General → Software Update.
    • Install any available update. Apple has fixed several Apple Intelligence issues in later iOS releases. (Apple Support)
  1. Verify Apple Intelligence is actually enabled
    • Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri
    • Make sure Apple Intelligence is turned on.
    • Open ChatGPT in that menu and confirm it's enabled.
  1. Make sure your language settings match
    • Settings → General → Language & Region
    • Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri → Language
    • These need to be the same supported language (for example, both English (US) or both English (UK)). A mismatch can prevent the download from completing.
  1. Leave it on Wi-Fi and charging
    • Connect to a reliable Wi-Fi network.
    • Plug the phone into power.
    • Leave it locked for an hour or overnight. Apple downloads the on-device AI models in the background under these conditions. (Apple Support)
  1. Restart the iPhone
    • Sometimes the download gets unstuck after a restart.

If it's still showing "Downloading Support for Siri" after all that, it's likely stuck. At that point I'd try:

  • Turn Apple Intelligence off, restart the phone, then turn it back on.
  • If that doesn't help, Reset Network Settings (Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings). This won't erase your photos or apps, but it will remove saved Wi-Fi passwords.
