Updated to iPhone 17 added cards to wallet without problem but wallet will not let me add Apple account says “Your Apple account balance can not be add at this time” have logged in and out of account even added more money but still no joy.
The card may be stuck in a kind of limbo. It’s a best practice to remove financial items, tickets, passes etc. before erasing a device.
I suspect Apple Support will have to clear some backend settings so it can be added to the new device. You can contact Apple Support using the link below or in Brian’s post above. Hi thank you for your interest, I have already tried the above unfortunately it did not work.
I am happy just to leave things as they are, I can see what money I have in my account and today my monthly charge for my extra iCloud allowance came out as normal.
So Thanks to all who have taken this on board, nice to know there are folks out there who are willing to help out.
I did not specifically remove the Apple account card just wiped the phone prior to trade in, then added my bank cards etc to wallet. Apple account is showing with balance but when I try to add it says “Unable to add at this time”.
other than that wallet works fine and I can still use Apple account to purchase from Apple so I’m happy to manage with this.
