After updating to 26.5.2 my Macbook Air M5 screen brightness dims and re-brightens every 3 seconds on battery mode making it unusable. The problem goes away when I plug in the power adapter. Also it does NOT go away when I turn off "Automatically Adjust Brightness" in Settings.

Pour le régler, allez dans Réglages Système > Batterie et désactivez l'option Mode économie d'énergie (Low Power Mode) si elle est activée, car elle force l'écran à ajuster son rétroéclairage de façon agressive. Rendez-vous ensuite dans Réglages Système > Écran > Avancé... et désactivez l’option Diminuer la luminosité de l’écran en mode batterie(Slightly dim the display on battery power). Un simple redémarrage de votre Mac après ces modifications devrait stabiliser l'affichage. Redites-nous :)

This is a software problem related to energy management after the update. To adjust it, go to System Settings > Battery and disable the Low Power Mode option if it is activated, because it forces the screen to adjust its backlight aggressively. Then go to System Settings > Screen > Advanced... and disable the option Decrease screen brightness in battery mode (Slightly dim the display on battery power). A simple restart of your Mac after these changes should stabilize the display. Tell us again :)
