Can I use a TextNow number as a trusted phone number?
What would happen if I put a TextNow number as a trusted phone number and remove my actual phone number from my Apple ID

It is recommended to use a trusted phone number that you can reliably access at any time.
A trusted phone number is used to receive verification codes for your Apple Account with two-factor authentication. If you remove your current phone number and later lose access to the TextNow number, you may have difficulty receiving verification codes and accessing your Apple Account.
Before removing your current number, consider adding the new number first and confirming that it works correctly.
You can manage trusted phone numbers from:
Settings > [your name] > Sign-In & Security > Two-Factor Authentication
