Ecobee and Kasa Matter Enabled Devices NOT integrating with Apple Home
I have used Apple Home for well over two years. Connected Aqara, two Ecobee thermostats and several sensors, and Kasa matter outlets and switches seamlessly, connecting more than 60 devices within seconds scanning the matter QR code. Suffice to say, I am familiar with the process and have loved the Apple Home experience.
Now, we have moved into a new home. WiFi signal is strong (1.2 gig). All Apple devices (Apple TV, Home Pod, Home Pod mini) connect although there seems to be more of a delay in doing so. I am replacing all Google devices (Nest thermostat and doorbell) with Ecobee because it integrates with Apple Home. Although the Ecobee thermostats and doorbell camera show up and can be controlled in the Ecobee App, I am unable to connect them to my Apple Home Account at the new address. I has gone through EVERY, and I mean every troubleshooting recommendation that Ecobee has, and spent more than an hour with Ecobee tech. Still unable to integrate with Apple Home. In addition, I am unable to connect Kasa outlets (Matter enabled) to the Home as well. Again, this was seamless in our other home (only 2 miles away and with the same internet service). The ONLY difference is we are using an EERO 7 Pro router vs the EERO 6. Yes, I have rebooted the EERO numerous times, too.
So, since Kasa, Ecobee, and EERO are all functioning, the ONLY common issue seems to be Apple Home. HELP please. This is beyond frustrating and time consuming. Thanks.
