Hi,

Logic Pro 12 may require an internet connection for initial authentication or sound library downloads, a behavior that was flagged as a bug in version 12.0 but addressed in the 12.0.1 update.

When you encounter this error despite having a working network, the issue often stems from App Store authentication glitches or corrupted library bundles.

To resolve the "not connected to the internet" error, try these fixes:

  • Reset App Store Authentication: Sign out of the App Store app, restart your Mac, sign back in, and then launch Logic Pro.
  • Clear Library Bundle: Locate the Logic Pro Library.bundle file in your ~/Music folder, move it to the Desktop, and relaunch Logic Pro to force a fresh library creation.
  • Delete Logic Files: Remove Logic Pro, the Logic Sound Library, and the Logic folder in ~/Music, then delete com.apple.logic0.plist and com.apple.logic.pro.cs before redownloading from the App Store.
  • Check Network Settings: Ensure no firewall or security software (like Little Snitch) is blocking Logic, and try connecting via Ethernet to rule out Wi-Fi interference.
  • Verify Updates: Ensure you are running the latest version of Logic Pro and macOS, as older versions may have compatibility issues with current servers.

If the problem persists, it may be related to Akamai CDN routing issues or specific regional server problems, which can sometimes be mitigated by temporarily switching networks or using a VPN.
