How do you know you are in a managed account

How do I get the Managed Accounts off me ? i have one but I am retired and I don’t work or go to school. I also am in the Developer program but I am Not. An old account is being used by someone I met ten years ago ! It’s done with Pineapple Wi fi and raspberry pi ( can’t find it yet) Any iPhone can be spoofed and connect to it so man in the middle. Apple is working on it bc this guy is one of the United health hackers! Anyone else?

Nope!

  • Managed accounts are viewable at Settings > General > VPN&Device Management.
  • If you are attempting to sign into a School/Work account on that Settings page and it says your Apple Account is already being used, that does not mean your account is being managed. Everyone sees that same message and means you cannot sign in because it is NOT linked to a School/Work account, it is being used a a Personal Account and that is what should be expected.

  • Accounts are compromised quite easily, but your device is not and you should review the information provided here:

  • Any account can sign into the developer website and that does not mean you are a Developer. Anytime you try beta software and agree to those therms, you can use your personal account even though you are not a developer testing your apps and have access to developer features without having to create a different Apple Account..
  • Have no idea what old account you are referring to, but if you are able to Factory Reset your phone and NOT restore from a backup or Apple Account, there will be no data on that phone from a previous account.

  • If you believe your Cellular/Wifi network is compromised, contact your provider.
  • If you see Managed Wifi networks in Settings, those are provided by your cell provider and cannot be removed. That does not mean your device is managed, it means that your cellular provider uses services to still give you connectivity when Cellular is not available. For Example, T-Mobile has 2 Managed WiFi networks and that will give you free WiFi access on participating Airlines. Verizon also used them to use WiFi in major Sports Stadiums where the Cellular coverage may become congested. I honestly don't know any Cellular provider that does not use at least 1 Managed WiFi network. Once you remove the SIM, they immediately go away.
  • Not aware of any issue you are referring to that Apple is working on. If you are in contact with Apple, you will need to continue support with them.
