Getting a refund for an unexpected subscription payment
I entirely forgot I had a subscription and it made a payment for it unexpectedly, how do I get a refund for it?

In most cases all transactions in the App Store are final due to the explicit action needed on your part to agree to the terms by double clicking the side button, followed by authentication with Face ID/Touch ID or Passcode. At times Apple will provide a compassionate refund.
- All subscriptions auto-renew
- Free trials should be cancelled a day before the subscription start date to avoid the charge as seen on the screen requiring you do double click the side button.
- A common recommendation in order to help you remember to cancel a free trial is to set a Reminder. It is as easy as saying "Hey Siri, remind me on xx/xx/xx to review my free trial and cancel if needed".
