How do I cancel an Apple Card I didn't ask for?

Hi All,

I received an Apple Card with my name on it, mailed to my office address at work. I did not apply for an Apple Card or open an account for one. I'm not an Apple user and don't have an iPhone, but do have an iCloud account because I've used a Mac for work.

I tried calling the Apple Card support number, but couldn't get through the voice menu because I didn't open this Apple Card and don't know what phone number is affiliated with it.

I tried using chatting via Messages, but the bot responded with: Due to a system issue, we’re unable to process your request. An Apple Card Specialist at Goldman Sachs can help you over the phone at 877-255-5923, or you can send another message later.

I want to know who opened this Apple Card with my name and work address, and fully cancel it. What should I do?

Hi, you’ll need to speak with an Apple Card Specialist at Goldman Sachs Bank. Only an authorized representative of the issuing bank can assist with closing an account.

Apple Card is a co-branded credit card between Apple and Goldman Sachs Bank. No financial information is shared with Apple and your questions regarding who opened the account can only be answered by the issuing bank. They may decline to do so because of the claim of fraud etc.

If the phone and chat contact methods aren’t working, you’ll need to write a letter and use the address below.

CONTACTING — Goldman Sachs Bank

  • Write to: Goldman Sachs Bank, Lockbox 6112, P.O. Box 7247, Philadelphia, PA 19170-6112.
