Find My not locating lost AirPods

Give these two attempts a shot

Go back to the places you visited yesterday. If you get within 30 feet (10 meters) of them and the earbuds still have a bit of battery left, your iPhone will automatically connect, allowing you to locate them or play a sound.

Activate "Lost Mode" in the Find My app, turn this on as soon as possible. If someone happens to find the case and opens it near an iPhone, the system will immediately send you a notification with their exact new location.

then you do it the old fashion way, you physically look for it.

Can't find it, then purchase a new one.
