Mac won't wake after sleep

My IMac desktop ( 2021 with M1 Chip) don't wake up after sleep. I had to switch off the power from the electrical socket and switch-on the system again. Similar problem showed an year back and got resolved by doing a reinstallation of OS after re-formatting. Again the issue re appeared now. The system is 5 years old . The display is bright and good.

Request feedback / advice from community members.. Thanks.

So many users have had problems with the Sleep mode when it comes out of sleep that they do the  following as a workaround:

1 - do not sleep the computer.

2 - set the System ➙ Energy ➙ Low Power Mode settings pane turn on the button "Prevent automatic sleeping when display is off'.

3 - in System ➙ Lock Screen settings pane set "Start Screen Saver when inactive" to whatever time you'd like.

4 - in System ➙ Settings ➙ Lock Screen settings pane set "Turn display off monitor when inactive for XX" to the time you want.

Unless you have several old HDDs you don't need to sleep the computer as most all new drives are solid state.

Perhaps you should consider this workaround.

I've used this system for several years from Intel iMacs to Silicon Mac Mini M4s with no problem.

Just some food for thought.
