All my Apple News Quartiles have the pull down list of words found stuck in the down position on iPad Pro for ALL Quartiles, but not on iPhone. Restarted Apple News app and iPad, but no change. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Apple AI solved the problem by recommending using Handoff from my iPhone, that did not have the issue, to my iPad. Once I was able to get Handoff to work (Disable VPN, connect to the same Wi-Fi, and enable Bluetooth) the issue was resolved.
Since I occasionally use both my iPad and iPhone connected to unsecure Wi-Fi networks, VPN is essential.
You can try disconnecting and possibly even deleting VPN (and seriously you probably don’t really need it on an iPad for security reasons.
