do i need to put a camera lens protector in my iphone or the camera itself is good scratch resistant etc because i dont want my camera to be scratch etc….

Yup, that one. The case I put on my 14 Pro prevents the lenses from touching any flat surface. It's just enough of a difference (like a millimeter) that the case touches first, but doesn't protrude enough for the wide angle lenses to pick it up.
I never used them on my iphone17pro, and all 3 are free of scratches
and if I were to apply them I would fear their height would exeede the height of the protection that my case give the lenses, and if it fell flat on it's back the full impact force would be the lens protector which would share the impact force with the lenses area under, breaking stuff in a bad way
