iPhone 17 Pro not showing in Finder/iTunes on iMac

If I plug my new iPhone 17 Pro into my iMac running Monterey, the phone does not show up in iTunes (or even Finder) so I am unable to download some tracks onto it. My iPhone XS was working absolutely fine by the way. I would appreciate some help with this. The phone is charging so I know both port and cable are working fine. If I plug an old iPod, it appears no problem. What is going on with my iPhone 17 Pro?
