Unable to use Bluetooth headphone mic in Games needing voice chat

I have a problem with my iPad when gaming, Normally I play Cod mobile on my Iphone with a bluetooth headset and I use voice chat well enough with the headset mic, but on my iPad, there's this issue where my Audio input is forcible routed to the iPad mic and the bluetooth headset mic is forced out as you can't even find it in the audio input options but once i turn off the microphones in game it returns and shows up in my audio input.

Basically, I'm unable to use my bluetooth headset microphone for voice chat but I keep getting audio from it. Any help please?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 26

This is a known iPadOS limitation with Bluetooth mic input in games. Many games including CoD Mobile use a lower-level audio API that forces input to the built-in iPad mic, overriding any Bluetooth headset mic. This is generally game-side behavior, not a pure iPadOS bug.

Here is what to try:

1. Connect your Bluetooth headset first, then launch the game — some games will respect the headset mic if it is the active input at launch time.

2. Check the in-game audio settings in CoD Mobile for a microphone input selector. Some versions let you switch between device mic and headset mic.

3. If your headset has a USB-C option, try connecting it via a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter instead of Bluetooth. With the wired adapter, the iPad's built-in mic is no longer available, so the game must use the headset mic.

4. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone, find CoD Mobile, toggle the permission off and back on, then relaunch the game.

5. Open the Voice Memos app briefly before starting the game to set the active audio input to your Bluetooth headset, then switch to the game. This sometimes keeps the headset mic active.

This ultimately comes down to how CoD Mobile's audio engine is built on iPad, and Apple cannot force the game to use Bluetooth mic input without developer support on the game side.
