Tableau Crashing with Calculated Field

I have Tableau Desktop on my MacBook Air and every time I try to do a calculated field it crashes. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? I’m using the free version so I can’t downgrade to a previous version.

Since Tableau Desktop is not an Apple product your best course of action would be to contact the Tableau support team. What did they say when you asked them about their free version crashing on your MacBook Air?
