iPod touch 7th generation screen shows half tone dots

When i first turn on or wake my 7th generation ipod touch i get a screen with the time but also what looks like half tone dots...see image. How do i get rid of this screen? This ipod is a brand new replacement for a 3rd generation that i think the battery may have swelled as the screen popped loose at the bottom.

Thanks in advance.

I believe that is the wallpaper (on your Lock Screen). In other words, a background.

To change it, go into Settings/Wallpaper/Choose a New Wallpaper. Your menu might be slightly different as I'm using a 6th gen iPod Touch, so if it's not exactly where I've said, use Settings/Search to search for Wallpaper and the result will take you to the option.

On the Choose a New Wallpaper menu, you will see several choices of wallpaper, which will also include the camera roll, where you can select a picture that you have taken. Once you choose a picture, you will see additional options including whether you want that picture on the Lock Screen (your view), the Home Screen, or both. Tap the Set button and after a few seconds, your choice of picture will be shown on whichever screens you have chosen.
