Is it worth just turning off and use normal 5g

It would be best to use 5G Auto. Your phone will connect to 5G when it is available, but use LTE when it is the better option. As to your concern that TikTok and the camera cause heat, that is normal and fully expected. Anytime you push a battery harder, which both do, heat is generated in a process call Thermodynamic Exchange. The 17 Pro models run cooler than an iPhone 17, because that have a Vapor Chamber built in to help dissipate heat. But heat on an iPhone 17 when being used for intensive activities will become warm.

Hi 06Carloss522!

Using 5G Standalone requires a lot of power to maintain a constant, high-speed connection. When you pair that network load with high-compute tasks like recording video or scrolling through video-heavy feeds like TikTok, the phone’s processor has to work in overtime. Unless the phone gives you a temperature warning screen or shuts down, I wouldn’t be concerned
