Cannot add AppleScripts to login items in Tahoe

I am finding it impossible to add Applescripts to login items in Tahoe

For instance this application script: tell application "Safari" to quit

cannot be added if I use the + sign in login items or drag it to the login items.

No problem with Sequoia ever

What's going on ?

Thanks

Sorry, I am running Tahoe as well, and I cannot reproduce the issue. I created an AppleScript script, and was able to add it to the login items, both by dragging and by using the + button.

Are you running any sort of "cleaner" or "antivirus"?

Also: as a test, create a new user account; see if the same problem occurs in the test account. This will help determine if the problem is specific to your normal account.

You can also run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Maybe we can find something from it, as is often the case.

The simple point is I CANNOT add an AppleScript to login items in Tahoe.

Typed the wrong info...for instance this script: tell application "Safari" to activate...cannot add it !!!!!

In Sequoia, I can drag and drop this or any other script to login items or use the + sign in login items to search for the script to add. I cannot do this in Tahoe.

Thanks

sorry for confusion

This may be the first post that I have seen where a user wants to add AppleScripts to their login items. I certainly do not do this, nor would I recommend it.

As has been mentioned by Luis Sequeira1, there are no user applications that are automatically launched from a previous login when one disables the Reopen windows when logging in selection on each of menu -> {Restart…, Shutdown…, Logout… } dialogs. Here is my Shutdown dialog:

The above would make your AppleScript suggestion unnecessary.
