MacBook Pro 14 couldn't charge (after battery drained)

My MacBookPro 14 (just 18 months old) couldn't charge after the battery drained off! I checked the cables, connection and even had it on charge for more than 5 hours but still no sign of battery life! How do I fix this?

If your 14-inch MacBook Pro completely drained its battery and now shows no sign of charging after being connected for more than five hours, the first thing to check is the charging setup.

Your MacBook Pro can be charged either through the MagSafe 3 port, if your model has one, or through any of the USB-C Thunderbolt ports.

For MagSafe charging, use a USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable with a USB-C Power Delivery charger.

For USB-C charging, use a USB-C to USB-C cable that supports USB Power Delivery with an appropriate charger.

Depending on the exact model, the required charger may be 67W, 96W, or 140W. A regular phone charger or low-power USB-C cable may not be sufficient.

If you have a MagSafe cable, check the indicator light.

Amber means it is charging, green means it is fully charged, and no light usually means the MacBook is not receiving power.

If you are using USB-C charging, connect the charger directly to the MacBook and try each USB-C port individually.

Note >> Avoid using docks, hubs, or monitors while testing.

Also try a different wall outlet and, if possible, another known-good USB-C Power Delivery charger and cable.

The charger should normally become slightly warm after being connected for a while.

With the charger connected, hold the power button for about 10 seconds, release it, wait a few seconds, and then press the power button normally.

If there is still no response, leave the MacBook connected to power for another 30 to 60 minutes with all accessories disconnected and try again.

If the computer remains completely unresponsive, the likely causes include a faulty charger or cable, a battery that has not recovered from the deep discharge, or a problem with the charging circuitry.

At 18 months old, a single complete battery drain should not normally cause permanent damage.

If none of these steps work, Apple or an authorized service provider can test the battery and charging system.
